“大别山精神”是从中国共产党诞生到新中国成立期间，发源于以大别山为中心的鄂豫皖三省交界地区，由中国共产党及其领导的武装力量和革命群众，为了实现共产主义理想、建立新中国而形成的革命精神。

2012年11月7日，“大别山精神”研究组发布新闻，将“大别山精神”概括为“坚守信念、胸怀全局、团结一心、勇当前锋”。

The spirit of Dabie Mountains is a revolutionary spirit formed by the CCP and its armed forces and revolutionary masses to realize the ideals of communism and establish a new China,which was originated at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces withDabie Mountain as the center from the birth of the CCP to the founding of New China.

On November 7th, 2012,the research group of the spirit of Dabie Mountains released a news report,summarizing it as “stick to the faith, always see the big picture, unite as one and be courageous”。
