翻译专业

翻译专业始建于2015年，2016年获批翻译专业硕士学位（MTI）授予点。现有专任教师14人，其中教授2人，副教授3人。本专业依托学校工科优势，突出科技英语翻译特色，注重培养学生的跨文化交际能力和语言服务能力，致力于培养具有国际视野、扎实的英汉双语基本功和深厚人文素养的高素质翻译人才。课程设置融合科技翻译与中国传统文化传播，强化实践教学，通过实训、实习、学科竞赛等多元化培养模式，提升学生的国际传播力。毕业生可在科技、外事、文化、经贸等领域从事翻译、研究及管理工作，成为兼具科技翻译专长与文化传播能力的复合型人才，服务国家战略和地方经济社会发展需求，助力中华文化走向世界。

Translation Major was established in 2015 and was granted degree-conferring authority for the MTI program in 2016. There are 14 full-time faculty members, including two professors and three associate professors. Leveraging the university's engineering strengths, the major emphasizes the characteristics of scientific and technical English translation. It focuses on cultivating students' intercultural communication skills and language service abilities, aiming to develop high-quality translation professionals with an international perspective, solid bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese, and a strong foundation in the humanities. The curriculum integrates scientific translation with the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture, enhancing practical teaching through diverse training models, including hands-on training, internships, and subject competitions, to improve students' international communication capabilities. Graduates can engage in translation, research, and management roles in fields such as science and technology, foreign affairs, culture, and trade, becoming versatile talents with expertise in scientific translation and cultural communication, thereby serving national strategies and local economic and social development needs, and promoting Chinese culture globally.
