Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,
My name is Xing Junru. You can call me Erin. Today, before the beginning of my speech, I want to ask you a question. Do you know how the Communist Party of China leads our people to stand up? I think some people know a lot, but some of you do not. So, today I want to talk about the Great Founding Spirit of the Party.
Well, we all know that last year, 2021, was the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Over the 100 years, the CPC has led the Chinese people to brave the wind and waves, to overcome the difficulties, and to compose an excellent system.
Just as our president Xi Jinping said, On the road to a moderately prosperous society, no one can fall behind. Yes, this is the communist party of China. We Chinese are a great family. We struggle together, and we triumph together. If one of us falls behind, we all will help him. If one of us succeeds, we all will celebrate. Because we are a great country. We care about each other, and we encourage each other. We help each other and we love each other. We believe in our bright future, because we are a great country.
Through the clouds and smoke of history, the bloody years seem to be before your eyes. Over the past hundred years, the Party has carried forward the Great Founding Spirit of the Party (the GFSP). As history has kept moving forward, the Spirit of the Party has been passed on from generation to generation. We will continue to promote our glorious traditions so that the GFSP will always be kept alive and carried forward!
There is no cohesion that can be so long-lasting, and there is no harvest that can be so rich! In my eyes, the party is just like a mother who is caring and considerate to us; it is just like a teacher who teaches us how to behave, helping us overcome difficulties. In 2014, I joined the Chinese Communist Youth League. In September last year, I submitted an application to the party organization. My grandpa is an old communist party member. He joined the Communist Party of China when he was twenty. This May Day holiday, when I got home, my grandpa held my hands tightly, asking me what' s your dream in the future? I said I have a dream that one day I can communicate with others in fluent English. I have a dream that all my family members will be healthy and happy every day. I have a dream that we can achieve our great Chinese dream. On hearing this, he shed tears of excitement.
OK, ladies and gentlemen. The grand plan has been drawn, and the horn has sounded. The ambition is in my heart, the road is under my feet.
OK, that' s all. Thank you.
