9月25日，外国语学院于实验北楼324举办了关于备考全国翻译专业资格考试的讲座。学院英语系专业教师崔静、刘晓茜及2017级全体研究生参加。

 首先，刘晓茜老师介绍了二级口译和三级口译的考试科目和考试模块，包括考试的题型、题量、分值以及时间分配。刘老师将二级和三级口译考试的考试难度作了对比，并推荐了参加口译考试的参考教材。其次，刘老师列举了口译考试中的常见问题，并用了五个关键字来概括答题时的关键点：对、全、畅、准、规。最后，刘老师强调了作口译时自信的态度的重要性，以及为同学们日常的口译练习提出了建议。

 崔静老师主要为同学们讲解了二级笔译考试的评分标准、注意事项以及官方推荐字典，并举出了笔译考试中扣分的常见问题，比如译文不完整、翻译腔过重、词义有偏差等等。崔老师通过几个英译汉的翻译实例为同学们讲解了英译汉的翻译技巧，并推荐了适合日常练习和积累的书目，尤其强调了对于笔译而言日常练习和新闻阅读的重要性。最后，崔老师指出，汉译英时一定要注意用词的灵活性，在日常学习中要多背诵政府工作报告和白皮书。

 全国翻译专业资格考试，简称CATTI，对于翻译硕士而言，该证书的重要性不言而喻。两位老师的讲解让同学们对于CATTI有了更为清楚的认识，对于如何备考口译或者笔译考试有了更为明晰的规划。同学们将以更积极奋进的心态备考，争取在考试中有良好的发挥。

School of Foreign Languages Holds aLecture on China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI)

     On September 25th, School of Foreign Languages held a lecture on China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) at Room 324 in the north Laboratory Building. Cui Jing, Liu Xiaoxi, teachers of School of Foreign Languages , and all the postgraduates of 2017 attended.

     First of all, Ms. Liu introduced the exam subjects and exam modules of second and third level interpretation, including the question types, quantity, score and time management. Ms. Liu compared the difficulty level of the second and third level interpretation tests and recommended the references for the interpretation tests. Secondly, Ms. Liu listed the common questions in the interpretation test, and used five key words to summarize the points in the answer, that is correct, complete, smooth, accurate, and standard. Finally, Ms. Liu stressed the importance of confidence in interpreting, and gave themsuggestions about how toimprove interpreting skills.

     Ms.Cui explained the scoring criteria, precautions and the official recommendation dictionaries for the second-level translation test for students, and listed common questions about the deduction of marks in the test, such as incomplete translation, over translation, deviation of word meanings and so on. Ms.Cui explained to students the translation skills of English and Chinese through several examples, and recommended books for daily practice and accumulation, especially emphasizing the importance of daily practice and news reading for translation. Finally, Ms.Cui pointed out that students should pay attention to the flexibility of words when translating from Chinese to English, and she suggested to recite the government work reports and white paper every day.

    China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI), is of great importance to the English translation majors. The lecture gave students a clearer understanding of CATTI and a clearer plan about how to prepare for the interpretation or translation test. Students will be positiveto prepare for the examinationin order to have a good performance in the examination
